Health & Happiness in the Mountains
Eme Cole was a competitive gymnast throughout her youth, earning a full athletic scholarship to college. There she obtained a BS in Kinesiology, followed by an MS in Exercise Physiology. She additionally completed certifications through AFAA, ACSM, Gravity Training, and The PhysicalMind Institute.
In 2002 Eme opened Pilates Plus Cross-Training Studio in Chicago, which she owned & operated for 12 years. During that time, she authored 7 ‘Pilates Expanded’ books for instructors & advanced enthusiasts which are available on Amazon.com. You can also view over 150 innovative Pilates videos and join her subscribers at www.youtube.com/pilatesexpanded. Upon moving to the mountains, Eme invented and patented the multi-purpose, space-saving ‘Pilates Unfold’ machine and also became a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
Having an active lifestyle that includes skiing, uphill skinning, cross country skiing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, and stand up paddle boarding necessitates her commitment to Pilates to keep her body balanced. Whenever her adventurous lifestyle results in injury, she finds healing through Pilates.
Eme lives and operates her Pilates studio in Snowmass Colorado alongside her husband Scott, her Portuguese Water Dog Rio, and her Bengal Cat Sikari.
